LEAVING PRISON FOR PURPOSE
DAVID MICHAEL
"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water." John 7:37
At age 20, David Michael found himself in a jail cell awaiting an attempted murder charge. What he experienced was a true act of Grace & Mercy, and the Saving Strength of God: Suddenly a break in the case sent him home a year later, shattering a 5-25 year sentence, even after failing a lie-detector test & his fingerprints alone found on the weapon. After spending many days and month in a max security solitary cell a Bible found it's way into his cell. After reading and meditating on the words in the text something began to change. David learned of his wrong, his sin and his guilt. With nowhere to turn he focused his thoughts and prayers on God. "God if you are real, just show me something, anything, I need your help." His prayer was heartfelt and sincere and also heard from heaven as he found God in that cell. I know right doesn't everyone find God in a jail cell? Far from cliche David's conversion had real staying power as he has found victory in life.
